Breweries Near Deptford, NJ
Is your idea of cutting loose kicking back with a cold brew after a long day at work? Or jump-starting your weekend by sampling a lager or two you’ve never heard of before? Then you may want to consider Stonybrook, with its apartments near breweries in Deptford, NJ. Dotting the immediate vicinity, just a short drive — or Uber — from our complex are a number of worthwhile breweries to satisfy any hoppy palate. Here are five of our favorites.
Eight & Sand Beer Co.

With both indoor and outdoor seating, and a rotating selection of 20 handcrafted beers on tap, this place is not only about turning out quality drinks, but they do so in a sustainable manner. Equipped with a 26 kW solar panel system, they’re able to generate a tremendous amount of clean energy. Plus, they send their used-up grain to local farmers to reduce waste even further. On the menu, you’ll find seasonal beers, one-off brews that won’t be around for long, and a plethora of special releases that are impossible to find elsewhere.
Westville Brewery

What started as a small, at-home operation, has grown into a real deal, two-barrel brewing joint. On the menu are a dozen craft brews, including the Pipe Wrench Porter, with its hints of both chocolate and coffee, and lemony HayLoft, a Farmhouse-style ale with reduced gluten. You won’t find any food on the menu here, but the staff is more than happy to supply recommendations for takeout, which you’re welcome to have delivered right to the brewery.
Bonesaw Brewing

Tucked away in the midst of a nest of trees, this industrial farm–like brewery is the brainchild of a family of brothers and their “brewmaster” pal, an award-winning beer maker with more than 100 brewing competition medals to his name. The result? A menu of more than a dozen craft beers, including the Black and Tan, a cream ale that gets an extra kick from the brewery's own cold brew coffee.
Flying Fish Brewing Co.

With a menu of about a dozen different beers available at any given time on their ever-rotating menu, Flying Fish prides itself in its growth from a small microbrewery into the large brewery it is today. Tours of where the magic happens are available, and if you really want a treat, stop by the tasting room (check the calendar for its limited hours) so you can try a flight of different beers crafted right there, on site.
Death of the Fox Brewing

What makes this spot unique is that’s it’s actually a hybrid: one part brewery, one part coffeehouse. So unlike other breweries, this place opens bright and early (7 a.m. during the week), at which time you can order up a cup of gourmet coffee or espresso. Later in the day, the beers are available. You can choose from a selection of 16 different brews, some of which can also be found at nearby restaurants. If you’re feeling a bit peckish, or just prefer some light (or heavy) bites while you drink, this is another that allows you to bring (or order) your own outside food.
